Quite a change from the way they have done it in the past.

We will see if it works.

Belicheat is a pretty decent evaluator of veteran players.

Although not that great with draft picks (....Brady was just random luck as a 6th round pick)

"I can win with any quarterback" - Bill Belicheat, summer 2020

i will even give him a pass on last season bc they had so big of a cap problem that they couldnt fill their many holes enough to compete. but hes got all these new bodies now, still has time to add more, and has nine (!) picks in this draft to work with for trades or to get some young talent in mostly backup jobs where he can use his "genius" to turn them into good football players

prediction: it wont matter. he still has shit at the most important position on the field, and at 15 hes going to have to give up a ton of picks to move high enough to get one of the top qb prospects, which are almost always a 50/50 crapshoot. the guys hes added so far in facy are nothing special, there isnt a star among them. and hes been a poor drafter in the past. so im predicting a string of mediocre jauron type records the next several years, after which he gets fired bc the spoiled mint julip sipping pussy fans wont accept that kind of mediocrity

go back to being a dc where you belong. you are no better than an an average nfl hc, likely less than that, and you will never sniff the sb again. you should have retired when marcia left, then most everybody would be fooled and hail you as the hc goat. all youre doing now is proving my point that you are a painfully mediocre hc, a bad gm, and an exploitative fraud. if you want to stay in coaching, go back to what you do best: dc

emphasis on the word 'decent'. and i would add hes much better with defensive veterans that offensive ones

in fact, most of his offensive fas dont work out. mike gillislees killing it in bflo, bill overpays to get him, and suddenly mike struggles and is benched. cam newton sucked last year, and will again. antonio brown lasted what, three weeks? if we looked up all the offensive fas i bet wed end up with less than 50% of them grading out even as 'decent', which means most of his offensive fas would be less than average

he. got. lucky. thats it. great dc. terrible gm. painfully mediocre hc. multiple-cheater. fraud

Getting Brady in the 6th is the best draft pick of all time.

It's funny.  They picked up Jonnu Smith for the sole reason that Buffalo has trouble defending tight ends.

They also are hoping that their retread QB can do enough to match our MVP-Caliber player.

McDermott and Beane have made all of my Buffalo Bills' dreams come true.

I believe that you can only ask for deep playoff runs from any team; then you hope they can have a few breaks and go further.  We're there.

Drafting Brady was probably the Luckiest draft pick of all time.  LOL   Not sure how much skill was involved.   Although it was a GREAT pick and made Belicheat's career.

Drafting Matt Milano in the 5th round was a good draft pick.  He showed certain transferrable skills even though he didn't have the Height/Weight you normally look for.

Either way, Belichick gets credit for making the best draft pick of all time.

He literally chose the GOAT QB with like the 170th pick or whatever it was.

As for BeliCHECK panicking and tossing around money in FA like a rapper at a strip bar it's totally hilarious. None of these guys are blockbuster FA. Let's look at the list:

  • Jonnu Smith: Good pickup but doesn't have a big stat history to justify the dollars spent.
  • Hunter Henry: Another good TE getting paid like Tony Gonzalez but has a bad injury history.
  • Matt Judon: Probably the best signing but not a bonafide pass rusher and they overpaid.
  • Jalen Mills: Green hair, got feasted on as a CB so they moved him to S where he was at least competent.
  • Davon Godchaux: Run stopping NT. Was he on anyone's radar?
  • Nelson Agholor: Fast but hands of stone.
  • Kendrick Bourne: Another speedster with a limited resume from SF.
  • Henry Anderson: Good run stopper but a major fuckhead. I could see him getting some nice penalties for the Patriots.

The sad thing is that they signed  4 pass catchers but Newton is still the QB and will not improve next season. The next hilarious thing is how the Dolphins spent a ton of money last offseason and now have jettisoned two of those pickups: LB Kyle Van Noy released and DE Shaq Lawson traded to the Texans.

Hopefully the Cheats situation at buying everything in site turns out just like the Eagles when they tried to buy a superbowl that year with all the FA signings.....bottomed out big time...and that was with Reid at the helm.....
