Cardinals’ DeAndre Hopkins getting chain that mocks Bills’ Tre White, Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer

 

The only season that went on to die a slow painful death following the Buffalo Bills’ “Hail Murray” loss in Week 10 was the Arizona Cardinals’, but that has not stopped DeAndre Hopkins from bragging about his game-winning score at the expense of three members of Buffalo’s secondary.

The talented wide receiver recently appeared on an NFL Pro Bowl Verzuz against Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey. Verzuz, if you are not aware, Verzuz is a webcast series created by Timbaland and Swizz Beatz in which two musical acts go head-to-head in a virtual battle. During the NFL’s version of the show, Hopkins talked up his touchdown reception that led the Cardinals to a 32-30 win over Buffalo.

In the segment, Hopkins mocked Buffalo’s trio of defenders, Tre’Davious White, Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer. He told Ramsey, Deion Sanders and MJ Acosta-Ruiz that he was having some jewelry made their expense.

“I’m gonna get a chain made with their three names on it in a cemetery,” Hopkins told the show.

Hopkins has had plenty of time to design that chain considering that he and the Cardinals collapsed following the win and failed to make the playoffs losing five of their final seven games. Buffalo, meanwhile, fell short of their goal of winning the Super Bowl this season, but won the AFC East for the first time since 1995 and made it all the way to the AFC Championship game.

It worked out great. Lit a gigantic fire under the team and happened in a game that was ultimately meaningless. That pass goes incomplete and we win...we're 14-2, still the #2 seed, and still playing at KC in the playoffs.

In any case. We made the championship game. Hopkins went home with a mediocre 8-8 record. We got the last laugh.
