Buffalo Bills won’t play in front of fans in Denver after all

Recommended Posts

Broncos will not allow fans after Sunday’s game

Since Week two of the 2020 season, the Denver Broncos have allowed 7.5% capacity (5,709) into Empower Field to watch the Broncos at home. After recent spikes of COVID-19 throughout the country, the Broncos and Colorado governor Jared Polis have announced that after Sunday’s game against Miami, no more fans will be allowed in Empower Field for the foreseeable future.

The Broncos have three remaining home games after Sunday, including hosting the Buffalo Bills in Week 15. Although there were no COVID-19 cases traced to the stadium from their previous four games, the Broncos are giving their fans one last chance to see their team in person this week.

Heading into the Week 11 bye, the Buffalo Bills have only played in three away games where fans were present. Week two in Miami, Week five in Tennessee, and Week 10 in Arizona all had limited capacity. As of now, Buffalo won’t be facing any other teams with fans in the stands for their three remaining away games.

New York State is still currently barring fans from Buffalo’s home games, as well, and with infection rates rising in Western New York, it’s unlikely that will change anytime soon.

Must be a weird experience to attend a game at 7.5% capacity.

Like you could yell stuff at the players and they might actually hear you.

We’re really lucky to have any sports at all at this point in time, let alone a full contact sport like football.
