Bills activate three players from COVID-19 Reserve list

Welcome back, Tyler Kroft, Levi Wallace, and Dean Marlowe!

The Buffalo Bills have activated three players who were added to the Reserve/COVID-19 list immediately prior to their game against the Arizona Cardinals. Tyler Kroft, Levi Wallace, and Dean Marlowe were all considered “close contacts” with Josh Norman, who’s currently on the list after testing positive for the coronavirus.

Each of the three players was missed in his own way, as part of Buffalo’s loss. In Kroft’s absence, the Bills had one of their worst rushing games of the season, and Dawson Knox only caught two of four targets for 16 yards. Meanwhile, the Bills defense struggled against the Cardinals. Buffalo wasn’t able to use their preferred “Buffalo Nickel” defense, and Arizona rushed for 217 yards at a whopping 6.2 average. Rookie corner Dane Jackson played admirably in relief of Wallace, but left the game with an injury in the second half. The emergency backup, Daryl Worley, wasn’t up to the task.

The Bills are in the middle of their bye week for now, hoping to see their roster heal up for the home stretch of the season. With a game coming up against the LA Chargers, who are much better than their 2-7 record, they’ll want to be as healthy as possible. Here’s hoping they can avoid any further infection on their roster.
