DeAndre Baker was a 1st round pick of the NY Giants in 2019 out of Georgia.
His 2019 rookie season was rocky early, but he improved at the end of the 2019 season.

Then in May 2020 he fell into some quicksand, i.e. at a party he shouldn't have been at.
Long story short he was charged with four counts of robbery with a firearm stemming from a party in Miramar, Fla. back in May.

HOWEVER, he just had all charges dropped as it appears the "victims" were just trying to extort money from him because he was an NFL player. The attorney representing the "victims" was just arrested for extortion.

The Giants had cut Baker in September2020 because of the pending charges.

DeAndre is now a free agent.

OP: I don't know much about him...or his character....or the charges, but right now it seems he may have been the victim. Who had the talent to be drafted in the 1st round.
