I mean that play was an easy first if Allen just hands it off, he's been misreading the read option all year.  He calls his own number too much on them, no matter what the defense shows.

It tells me he doesn't trust his players and or Daboll in clutch time. Needs to call timeouts to overemphasize the importance of the play and insure everyone is on the same page.

Allen has been bad at zone reads all year long.

Get to the line and run the damn plays that have just gotten you 60 yards down the field.

And it’s not just THAT play. He does it all the time on both offense and defense and I honestly can’t remember a single time it has worked this season. I’m sure it has at some point, but I dont recall it.

I'm fine with the read opiton, as long as it is NEVER on 3rd and 1.  Josh does fuck up the read a lot, but that's not even the main issue.  Josh is a fucking tank, run the fucking QB sweep and keep it moving.  Fuck him reading the edge defender from a standstill.  Dude is 6'5 240, use it when you need it.

once they decided to not run a play in this case the play clock would have run out before 2 min warning.  Had no choice.

My thoughts exactly. Did anyone not know that play was coming ? Honestly why call a time out then. A 5 year old could've guessed that play. 

I you are gonna run Allen then just run him straight up. No option BS. I though that was a bad call by Daboll and then a bad read by Allen. 

 

And I wanna add that if McD wasn't taking the time outs Lit would be complaining about the exact opposite. 

Why isn't he taking a time out there !! .... Big play. Burn a TO and make sure everyone's on the same page. You can't save time outs for another game, McD is such a moron !!
