Buffalo Bills injury report: Good signs for Milano, White, a setback for Edmunds

Mixed signs from the injury report, as usual.

Buffalo Bills cornerstones Matt Milano and Tre’Davious White are both trending toward playing against the Kansas City Chiefs, while Tremaine Edmunds seems to have had a flare-up with his shoulder injury. In Buffalo’s Friday injury report, the penultimate ahead of a Monday Night Football game, Milano (pectoral) and White (back) both practiced fully. That was after a limited practice on Thursday, as well as missing Tuesday’s game against the Tennesee Titans with their injuries.

On the other hand, Edmunds (shoulder), who’s attempted to play through pain since injuring his shoulder in week one, was listed on the injury report for the first time this week. He practiced in a red no-contact jersey. Quinton Spain (foot) also had a setback, turning in a limited practice after a full effort on Thursday. Tight end Dawson Knox (calf) failed to practice for the second day in a row, and he’s doubtful to play on Monday at this point.

Overall, Buffalo’s injury list is shorter than it’s been for much of the season, and several key players seem to be in the clear. John Brown (knee) has practiced fully for two straight days, as has Zack Moss (toe) and Josh Allen (shoulder). Cole Beasley, who dealt with a foot issue last week, wasn’t even listed on the report yet.

The Chiefs are much less banged up than the Bills, but they did suffer two key injuries last week: Offensive lineman Kelechi Osmele, with torn ligaments in his knee, is done for the season. And Sammy Watkins won’t return to Buffalo, thanks to a hamstring injury. The receiver has 21 catches for 222 yards and 2 touchdowns.
