Let's just hope that no preseason was the cause of this, and it will iron out.  But hey, we beat the jets, so good day.

He needs to keep fundamentals at the forefront until it becomes second nature.  Like  kids in Jr high band tapping their feet to the tempo  or pianists with a metronome until they are all over the keyboard.  He needs to make it automatic; don't revert to bad habits when he panics or gets too excited.

Only on this board will you see got takes as stupid as these.

Besides the fumbles...Allen was great. Nothing else needs to be said

With the fumbles 21 Bills - 3 Jets.

Playing it safe in the second half  - 6 Bill's- 14 Jets.

Who gives a shit?

33/46 71% completion 312 passing 3 TD 2 passing, 1 rushing.

I will take this every game. Also, HOLD ON TO THE DAM BALL WHEN RUNNING?  You know your going to get hit. It's not like a sack where you may not see/feel the guy.

I would too...

But the way he played today won’t result in those stats you listed against good teams.

If he airmailed wide open receivers in the endzone (twice!) again the Patriots, we lose.

If he throws the ball into the dirt on screens against KC, we will lose.

If he fumbles twice against Tennessee, we will lose.

Let’s count them.

1) Fumble one.

2) Fumble two.

3) Throw to no-one (Jets we’re asking for intentional grinding).

4) Air mailed a wide open Dawson Knox in the endzone. Jon Brown threw his hands up in I assume annoyance.

5) Underthrew a streaking Beasley in the middle of the field. James Lofton said a better pass would have resulted in Beasley spiking the ball in the endzone. Instead it was just a normal pass and catch.

6) Air mailed a wide open Jon Brown in the endzone.

7) Had an INT go off a Jets defensive players hands.

Yeah that’s more than 3 bad plays lol. And 4 of those cost us points.

Allen gets better.
Instead of overthrowing the triple covered receiver he is now overthrowing the open receiver ... baby steps ...

Yeah it's like every year he makes good strides to become the guy we need while simultaneously showing new issues.

The fumbles were an issue last year so maybe it's not a bad thing that we're focusing on those instead of his decision making and accuracy, which has improved.

The 2 overthrows were both as he was running to the left which seems like a nerves thing but in any case something you can point out in film review and maybe be able to fix.

Just like last year, he showed noticeable improvement and confidence, while still displaying some issues. If today is any indication, he's hasn't hit his ceiling yet.

He just needs receivers with huge wingspans to snag the inaccurate throws!

I must say though...Diggs made acrobatic catches on some bad throws. Diggs did what he was suppose to do.

Darnold certainly looked like dog shit today.

I thought Darnold was progressing faster than Allen. Today wasn't even close.

You can take every quarterback in every NFL game and point out mistakes that he made. You absolutely fixate on those to the exclusion of all else. Any reasonable person would say Allen had an excellent game today. Did he have mistakes? Absolutely. Did 31 other quarterbacks have mistakes today? Absolutely

You're exclusive focus on negativity is comical in its absurdity

Sure, but plays that directly lost points.

Not every QB in every NFL game misses two wide open receivers by throwing over there head into the stands.

Norice how you’re the only one defending this? Even the normally optimistic posters are calling him out.
