Minneapolis city council votes 12-0 to abolish police department

Recommended Posts

I never said the plan wasn’t to remove the police. I said the plan is probably not going to pass. You’re a fucking idiot. Do you know what, I’m not even gonna argue with you. Not because you’re right, because you’re not. But because you need to be right. You always need to be right even when other people have shown you how wrong you are, it is impossible for you to admit it. Bottom line is you took one answer to one question based on a plan that hasn’t even passed anything yet and tried to turn it into some reality that doesn’t currently exist

No.

You did not say that.

A poster asked, under this current plan, who would show up during a violent situation?

You responded: “umm police”

Except, under this current plan, there would be no police.

You were correctly informed of your ignorance and as you always do, you dug your heels in and made an even larger fool of yourself.

Now you claim that you never said it.

Just stop embarrassing yourself. It’s hard to watch.

My favorite one was when he tried to use a 2006 draft profile of Tarvaris Jackson as a counterpoint, after the dude had played six years in the league on two different teams.

It’s called projecting.

He is often wrong and has a need to be right, so he projects that complex onto me and other posters.

Its sad.

Please, detail where I'm wrong. Are they disbanding the police? No. Is there a measure to disband the police, btw, that's disband the Police Department as we know it? Yeah, there is a plan -which has a long way to go before it passes, so as for now, not disbanding. Is there a plan for using other services for non-violent, domestic disputes, for example? Yes? Is there plan for Violent crimes? Not that anyone has offered up.

Therefore, it's not a done deal and to present as if it is, is disingenuous, which may as well be Lit's middle name

Actually, I never said that.

I said city council members voted 12-0 to abolish the police department.

By the way, they didn’t vote 12-0 to abolish the police department, as we know it, like you told Philly.

No.

It was 12-0 to abolish it, PERIOD.

Which is exactly what happened.

Try to keep up.

We know that the city council members want no police.

Thats what we know.

The only one conjecturing is you.

The only one saying “this can’t be sooooo” is you.

The rest of us are using the only facts we have. They no longer want police.

Get a load of this crap....

Several Minneapolis City Council members who have received death threats following their calls to defund the police after the death of George Floyd have been assigned private security details -- reportedly costing the city $4,500 a day in taxpayer dollars.

According to information obtained by Fox News, the city has spent $63,000 on private security over the last three weeks.

“The names of the people getting security details are not public,” a city spokesperson told Fox News Saturday.

The names of three council members who are receiving private security detail have already been made public, two of whom interviewed with local affiliate Fox 9 on Friday. The spokesperson did not respond to Fox News' questions about whether or not there were additional council members receiving security detail.

The funny part is that Hip doesn’t even know what he is arguing against.

The 12-0 vote was to remove the wording in the city charter that said Minneapolis must keep a police force.

>> If they simply wanted to re-structure the force, they wouldn’t need to remove the provision that requires the city to keep a police force.

>> If they simply wanted to allocate more funding to public programs, while keeping a smaller police force, they wouldn’t need to remove the provision that requires the city to keep a police force.

>> If they simply wanted to change policing as we know it, they wouldn’t need to remove the provision that requires the city to keep a police force.

They removed the provision in the charter requiring the city to keep a police force, because the plan is to NOT HAVE A POLICE FORCE.

Literally everyone in the entire nation understands this ... except for HipKat.

Think about that.

They want to redefine how Law Enforcement works and using other services for Domestic issues. Even cops don't think they should be handling domestic disputes. You're a moron if you seriously think they're going to take Police Officers off of violent crimes.

You know what? Actually, I forgot, you're right, I'm wrong. You win again you fucking guy, you.

Classic projection.

They removed the provision in the charter requiring the city to keep a police force, because the plan is to NOT HAVE A POLICE FORCE.

When asked what will happen in a violent situation, the council President effectively said “I don’t know”.

The answer was NOT: “The police will obviously handle violent situations”.

The answer was: “We don’t have the answers” for that.

Literally everyone in the entire nation understands this ... except for HipKat.

Think about that.

I hope everyone in America is watching this or at least questioning the mental state of voters whole elected these people.  If you are willing to let the fox guard the hen house you end up with no chickens and no eggs.  The official Minneapolis.gov website is shut down and now the three biggest buffoons on that leftist government body have been given private security.  Obviously they passed on police escort service.

Citizens of Minneapolis and Minnesota, wake the hell up.  It is probably already to late but, you know, at least try and apply sane reasoning to candidates you vote for.

It doesn't matter what they want, until it actually passes, it's nothing more than an idea. I don't understand which part of this you're lost on.  When the council President replied with "I don't know", it ALSO means that it might BE the goddamned police. The entire thing is an idea. With no actual substance.

But no, you're right. No more police.

Like Ferguson said, kill, rape, loot and steal at will. Because that's what Lit wants us all to believe.

Lit: Minneapolis city council just voted on their plan to remove police.

Someone else: If this plan happens, who will respond to violent crimes?

HipKat: Umm, the police!! Derp.

Lit: Under this plan, there would be no police.

HipKat: Do you even know what defunding the department means? Here, read this article I copy and pasted that has nothing to do with what Minneapolis’ plan is.

Lit: Minneapolis doesn’t want to defund the police. They want to abolish the police. Two different things.

HipKat: Noooo!

Lit: Yes. And here is the proof...

HipKat: Crap, I was wrong. Let me quickly switch the conversation and pretend that this whole time I was just saying that voters won’t let it pass.

Literally everyone else on the entire forum: 🤦🏻‍♂️

Lol, so true.

Reminds me of that time where I showed him studies, stats, figures and quotes from the government of Canada and Canada’s largest health institute. But he said (paraphrasing) “My cousin lives in Canada so I believe what he says”.

lmao.
