Putting a stop to Space wasting posts

Recommended Posts

Can we please create a rule concerning the extraordinarily long posts that are nothing more then copy/paste’s of online articles and limit them to a headline with a link and one or two paragraphs from the article and can we also do something about people who quote those extra long posts which is completely useless. Users can learn how to tag another user with an @ sign, If they want to refer to a specific member.

Why does the WHOLE article have to be posted in the first place? People used to give an opinion, synopsis, then maybe a paragraph. Then the link for the rest. Now, nobody does that. WHY?

Laziness coupled with the attitude that they're going to make sure that the readers see the entire article, in case they decide not to follow the link. What drives me even more crazy is not editing out the hotlinks to ads, social media accounts, excessive spaces, etc and that on, Jungle is very guilty of

the standard always has been a paragraph or three of the article that most represents what youre trying to convey, a link to the article, then your commentary on the article/issue

the reason super-long article quotes became popular is because one numbnut started it and others began to copy him. then users were too lazy to edit out the superfluous content when they quoted, creating monster long threads with the same content over and over and over again

laziness and inattentiveness

do we really have to post a sticky and start handing out time-outs to get people to do what is logical? i hope not
