I have four movies on my Plex server.  After watching a movie I delete it since I rarely watch a movie twice.  :niterider:

1. 1917

2. Richard Jewell

3. A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

4. Second String (can't delete that one!)

I'd list mine but I have a 10TB drive about 60% full with thousands of them played through Kodi on a Raspberry Pi running OSMC. My stepson is big into WWI now and he just watched War Horse and 1917. I keep telling him he has to see the glory of the US Navy and watch Midway.

That's a collection I'd like to see, I'm at about 5 TB. Speaking of Kodi, I still haven't jail-broken my Firestick....

Screw the Fire Stick, with certain Kodi builds you can get so many free channels you'll never have time to watch even 5% of them. I mostly watch my own movies and Pluto TV. Just run the Kodi off an old PC, Android box, or Raspberry Pi.

I would if I had an old PC, Android Box or Raspberry Pi. I watch a lot of Pluto TV already, but I'm trying to get streaming to where I can "cut the chord" when my contract is up in May

A friend of mine has a jailbroken Fire Stick but he keeps complaining about having to reflash it again because I guess they spike them once in awhile like those old pirate cable boxes I guess. I just like torrenting select movies and I even have the original Star Wars films unmolested by George Lucas' "special editions" in high def. Some movies are good to have for posterity like "Song of the South" which you can't even find anymore.

I've never heard that before, about spiking them. The only issues I have with Kodi is  finding Repositories that aren't taken down as fast as you find them

Yup, that can be an issue. The more likely it is to be pirated the more likely you'll find dead links. Torrents are forever however!

My collection may be in that range, as well as plenty burnt onto old DVDs before they had big hard drives.......  I bought a Firestick and "jailbroke" it to put Kodi on ti give as a gift a good while ago, but never gave it and havent bothered to use it.  As a long time friend of torrents, do you think it would be worth my converting?

On a related note, my "newest" hard drive is reaching the point where Ive been considering buying a new one soon....not sure what I will do because it's been so many years that I don't know if I have any free bays left to put it in....and I prefer internals.  I like as little noise as possible, and had other reasons, that arent popping into mind at the moment.....another "I am the Lit/Yogi Berra of real life(tm)" moment.  Not as bad as the paid off Gary Johnson moment.....I think a lot of LP members realized that they too were under control by the usual suspects after the last cycle and Gary's antics....including picking Bill Weld as a running mate, a gun grabber who didn't represent the ideals of liberty and the party.

But the first libertarian friend(small l, not the party) was a hardcore pirate bay fan....so even defenders of the Constitution enjoy their movies and their pirate booty!!!

Oddly, I havent watched any movies in quite awhile.... I saw the one with Brad Pitt by that director guy, but although it didn't really bug me, I did not see why it got such acclaim....I maybe you can explain why it had a "best of all time" thread on here......it was not the Dark Side of the Moon of movies.

I guess I saw Joker and Knives Out(by the clown who helped ruin Star Wars)......but were pretty decent.  I liked Knives Out because(this is a NO SPOILER mention...because this stuff was all delivered up front before the mystery began to unravel).

I saw it as an allegory your boy is allowing(actually aiding vigorously but quietly, while putting on an WWE act of fighting), where the young/female/mexican protagonist is seen as more deserving of the "inheritance" than the older, more spoiled, squabbling, and white children of the patriarch she brought and administered medication to.   Even without the important(yes piss in your face allegory by the flaming), the story itself kept my attention and was entertaining enough to remember a good deal of this much later....... I dont think the allegory wasnt the predictive programming TWD mentions, I think it was just some anti-American rhetoric meant to insult the Americans even more with a very large number not even having a hint of such.  I didn't read any reviews, that was my own take relatively early as it progressed...so wanted to see if anyone else got that takeaway?

External Hard Drives don't make noise and depending on how old your motherboard is, you could use M.2 SSD's. There are PCI Expansion cards that have up to 4 M.2 slots

Now that I recall, you may be correct about the multiple ones I had.  I know I had other reasons as well, possibly the clutter.  I mean I did relatively recently get a WD 1TB to take with me when traveling, and yeah that's quiet being it's remarkably tiny.   My motherboard is maybe 6 years old, and was a decent one at the time IIRC, but I think it was old enough to have used DDR3....which has influenced me to hold out for DDR5 despite the long delays, before I plan on replacing it....as much as I wouldn't mind doing so now.

I dont claim any special adeptness with hardware, but I tend to be more familiar things closer to the time I put the study time into building them than many years later, lol.  I'm trying to use repetition to recalibrate my habits to be closer to peak efficiency in some areas, which I have considered the effect on what may possibly survive in some level/form after death, and it's level of efficiency.  I may try to do more of what Crowley and others did and learn more about the teachings of the East to add to what I am familiar with.

Anyhow, I guess the tldr version is I am not as into hardware as some are for whatever reason....but would love to get my hands on some DDR5, but of course would need a MB that supports it, and that in turn will require a new processor....I'm still rocking an i7 4.0ghz(sad that in all that time, physical limitations have prevented that from increasing much, whereas the ability to keep adding more and more cores seems to be an acceptable workaround, ugh), but planned on "switching teams" or whatever the people who call each other fanboys call it.  :)   AMD's latest CEO Lisa Su(from the level of interest I've alotted myself) seems to have really turned things around in her time, like McDermott and Beane in a way, and the last I cared to look appeared to be what looked like best price per perfornance as opposed to Intel being such for a long time, despite dragging it's feet as if sleepwalking due to lack of competition.  So happy to see them get what they may deserve for progressing so slowly just because they could milk things longer without competition.   See Hip, I didn't intend it, but that's a dencent example of how a free market tends to help progress...where as limited(or no) competition can tend to hurt it.

Ok...just saying it quickly, half joking, not looking to debate.  I guess the music industry isn't the only one this board just reminded me I had reason to be displeased with, lol.  ;)  Stay safe, maybe I should log off now that I've let even an indutry the goy have some say in(hard for a crypto to imitate East Asians and Africans, who have a layer of protection from such that others don't) rile me slightly, lol.

It might be but I don't know how stable Kodi is running on a FireStick since I imagine the hardware in it probably doesn't touch a PC, Android Box, or Raspberry Pi. I use 2 external 10TB HDs for my movies. One is connected to the main TV and the other is down in the Man/Kids Cave so if one of them shits the bed I still have a backup since they have the same exact movies on them (no porn).

I did like Knives Out by Rian "Roundhead" Johnson but I thought it was a big ripoff of Clue starring Tim Curry. Definitely he used his screenplay to take some shots and put in political agenda points in there as you noticed.
