BREAKING: The Boy Scouts Of America files for bankruptcy after being buried in sexual abuse charges

Recommended Posts

Who could have seen this coming after the usual suspects forced their subversive gay agenda on them?  I haven't looked into the details yet, but wanted to scoop this one before Daryl did!   Sad, VERY sad.  This is how it works, people.  The Protocols have nearly destroyed all that was good with our nation.

Is there a subversive gay agenda among christian priests?

The perversion of the teachings of the Christ by the Romans of not allowing priests to have relations with women, ironically in an attempt to avoid sexual scandal, has led to these unnatural urges.

Unlike the church, the Scouts had an agenda pushed on them by outsiders.  If you want to defend people forcing a private organization to go against their core beliefs to support this outside group, it doesn't make you seem very American....yet I support your right to say so, which is American.

You honestly think that sexual harassment in the boy scouts started after the scouts began to be more accepting on peoples sexual orientation?  lolllll

So because priests couldnt have relations with women, they went after young boys? But god allowed them to do it, so was that God's agenda?

About time someone came to the defense of one of the better traditions of this country, instead of in defense of the homosexual agenda rammed down their throats.

I’m a liberal in many respects but Boy Scouts is near and dear to me. My son will be advancing to Tenderfoot next week so this news is hitting me hard. It’s only the National chapter that is filing. The local councils are still business as usual. I really hope that they can somehow keep BSA viable while also establishing a compensation fund for the victims. Oversight and interaction rules with the boys were changed years ago which includes 2 deep leadership and buddy systems. I hope that is enough to deter future issues. The allowance of girls all makes sense now. It was an economic decision. However it has been hugely successful from what I’ve seen so far.

hell ya my homophobic bros!  Gay people shouldn't be able to learn how to start a fire or how to tie a rope!

(EDIT: during my OP I was shocked, and like the poster above me, the Scouts are not just some group I heard about fighting being attacked by those with an agenda on the TV, so I may have reacted a bit more strongly with less structure than might have been helpful.  I still didn't use the slurs you and maybe others did.  Note my recent post about an open homosexual protesting the drag queen story hours, whom I referred to as the hero of the story[he also ended up being the victim, found dead the next day].  If I could get Lit to change the settings to allow us to edit posts after more than an hour, which I've been trying to do, I would edit it).

I don't see anyone in here exhibiting anything that meets the definition of a phobia.  I used to occasionally hang out with a gay couple that lived near me.  We enjoyed each other's company, and I tried to listen and understand why one was as enthusiastic about Hillary as I was about Ron Paul, and he did likewise with me.  You focus on the things you have in common, and it it goes a long ways when you have differences.  Note the quote in the sig of Daryls.

These slurs remind me of those calling folks racists, when the definition of racism(albeit new ones have been added) is of something the name calling often doesn't satisfy the definition of.  An infamous example was when Ben Stein called Ron Paul a racist on a CNN crossfire discussion of the wars, simply because he was against unconstitutional wars....and Stein is a very intelligent man, but it shows even he has been conditioned like most of society. For a Bills example, Richard Sherman called Dan Carpenter's wife a racist in a tweet after her reaction to his cheap shot on Carp during MNF. When you use words improperly, you weaken their meaning.

I also don't assume anyone deserves your slurs for having a phobia of females either, but if these are things that don't belong in Boy Scouts, it's their right not to have them....similar to the white woman not that long ago being banned from a black group after having been in it for what I think was quite awhile, claiming to be black.  She may have even been the leader.  I'm guessing someone is familiar with the story.  Their decision was fine with me, and based on others who use the same slurs as you,  I doubt you raced to her aid,

You're kind of not living up to your title of "common sense king" when you wish to re-write the beliefs of others, even of organizations that predate your birth, to conform to your own.  Are you going to set out to re-write the various religious texts and demand their practitioners follow them?  Or is that too much effort, and will sticking to slurs be more to your liking?

By the way, I think it was instagram that changed it's policy on discussion of pedophilia, and even now allows examples that are considered art.  The flaming left does not stop pushing until you push back, and now seems like the right time.

(I didnt mean for this to be so long, the 11 second clip on the end summarizes it with it's last line.  And the EPIC article I mention later on can be found at this link. Speaks of finding commonalities, as well as the intolerance a person's own group can show for not towing the company line on every issue. Don't let the title push you away, I do not necessarily agree with it myself, but her reasons for coming up with it are what is important.  And no, I did not even endorse him the first time before the broken promises, so I wish the title were different and more folks would at least try a few sentences to see if it shows promise)

Yeah, I agree with the first part and when I was knee deep in the middle of my last post I saw that you had replied and was like "nooo, one at a time, please!". :)  You pleasantly surprised me, however.  It's great when people can disagree with their preferred groups on issues and don't feel the need to conform.  I don't really fit into either of the 2 main camps on here, and it seems to require more effort to go it on your own.

For those who didn't see it, Sack posted one of the more powerful articles recently, from a Democrat of 20 years.  No, it's not about switching parties, but finding out about those you have been conditioned to see as different.  I highly recommend it to folks of whatever leaning.  The title was a bit inflamatory, and I only mention it for people who would seek to read it(something about a Democrat who sees them having no chance this time around after what she experienced at a Trump rally.  And no, I have never endorsed the guy either, or even necessarily agree with the title....but it's something that shows areas where we all could improve.

I gave your post a like even though I am not sure how I feel about the girls aspect, because as the aforementioned article explained, it can really take courage to go your own way on some issues.  I may sound like I'm overdoing it a bit, but if you read that article or any other number of examples of abuse for not towing the line on an issue, you'll know what I mean.

I end with this video which I usuaully use when I don't want to type so much, from a show I used to really enjoy.  The 2 main characters have a valentines day thing or something where girl's pin a flower on them if they like them, and Bobby let's his friend Joseph have one of his to "prime the pump" and make him look more popular, and after it's done, a passerby hears something and takes it completely out of context. :)

TL;DR version: the last line in this video clip :)

Oh they can join but I don't want them as leaders.

I suppose it's possible that these folks don't see the wrong they are doing, because to them it is actually pleasurable having homosexuals rammed down their throats.  If that appearance is the case, the difference between these posters and the Scouts, is that the posters have it done by their own choice.

Freedom of Association is both an individual right and a collective right, guaranteed by all modern and democratic legal systems, including the United States Bill of Rights, article 11.  Some of us still value our Constitution, and rule of law in general.  The alphabet groups have plenty of organizations exclusive to them, and nobody is clamoring against their by-laws to be inclusive to regular folks.
