New England has $13.5 million in dead cap no matter if Brady plays for them in 2020 or not. So if New England were to somehow get Brady to sign a 2 year $60 million contract, they still have to pay the $13.5 million in dead cap space.

If Brady signs with the Las Vegas Raiders, he will have a hard time making the playoffs with the Kansas City Chiefs having a strangle hold of the AFC West.

It doesn't matter where Brady signs he is a shell of his former self and only looks good the past couple of years because of the play design and play calling of Josh McDaniels and the game planning and scheming of Bill Belichick.

Another fake story. No such thing is being  considered. Just keeping  Raiders  in your mind for the move.

It's because  it's 20 years  since the tuck Game

Apparently the ghost of Al Davis is alive and signing players to ridiculous contracts.

As I noted in the thread where I did my imitation of Daryls' antics and broke the story, the photos of Brady and son of Al at the UFC event where McGregor made his return(which I also posted) gave this story even more legs than it would have had otherwise.  People were already speculating after that, and the multiple articles I included in that thread(including one saying that tampering was good for Brady) had plenty of logic to them.

TWD, the Raiders getting Brady could seem to help your theory, if you chose to see it from that perspective.   My question at the time was about the QB they already had in Carr, which in my opinion might be the move that would have even more impact.  Carr seems like a "Process" guy(certainly has the faith component, as well as some measures of consistency/durability), and some third team likely could be the ultimate winner if such a move materialized.  I believe Jungle then commented that Gruden seemed to have it in for Carr, which would make this story make more sense.

The narrative of Gruden being a gambler seems like the perfect fit for Vegas.  Though such a move would make him seem like more of a Rounder, than a Grinder.  ;)

(here, in under a minute, Damon explains his desire to change from a grinder to a rounder.  Him, Norton, Turturro, and Malkovich make a pretty good cast, for anyone who hasn't seen this film)

That would make this a most memorable off-season

Didn't Belichick want to ditch Brady years ago and keep the Grappler, only to be overruled by Emperor Kraft?  I suppose it would make even more sense now, especially if Brady was tired of giving them a sweetheart deal.  It would be weird seeing him play for another team.  Maybe even more so than when our HOFers finished out their careers elsewhere.
