The Normalizing of Socialist Bernie Sanders *****

Recommended Posts

Watch the networks such as MSNBC and CNN.  As the democrat primaries continue, the effort to "normalize" a Socialist is in full swing.  Make no mistake, Bernie Sanders is a Socialist.  Let's all hope the propaganda and attempts at brainwashing do not succeed.   I still roll on the floor laughing when leftists try telling me there is no liberal slant to 95% of the mainstream media.  The old thinking still holds true for them: repeat the lie enough times that those not really paying attention believe it's the truth.  Thoughts?

LOL MSNBC and CNN are constantly railing against bernie for the dumbest shit. You have no idea what you are talking about. MSNBC is so anti bernie it's sad. CNN makes it slightly less obvious but they still go out of their way to try to shit on him.

Bernie beats Trump.

If I have to choose between a Corporate Socialist and a Democratic Socialist, I'm quite comfortable choosing Bernie.

I think what Bocephus(I cant believe he gave up such an epic name!  I only recalled it because of Daryl bumping a thread that got LIT to make possibly the largest 180 EVER.!  I underestimated Daryls'craftiness and think he doesnt get credit due to his ols shtick) might have better served by saying Bernie normalized socialism last time, and created a pack of people riding the coattails of his success last time...and that the media has been normalizing socialism through them.  Fair enough?

Was hoping you'd follow up on my post in the Biden and Bloomberg thread, where your boy's press secretary tweeted for Bloomberg's true racist nature to be displayed by the media to voters.  Youve seen the hatred Trump has received when they pound that narrative, and in the Democratic primaries something like that could do major damage.

Though I may not be the biggest fan of the thread overall, I give BFB credit for making his own OP about his  observations without needing a tweet or establishment media article to inspire it.

As for big corporations, even Constitutionalists/lovers of liberty like myself are against huge corporations who already are receiving corporate welfare, which is crony capitalism.  I couldnt care less that they are receiving record profits while real wages do not keep up with inflation, which is a hidden TAX that very few folks realize, resulting from "the fed" overprinting their fiat currency and the elite having first dibs at it, while it is lent to our government at interest.  Now if Bernie would talk like that, he'd be more deserving of the rock star status Ron Paul(who also railed against crony capitalism) had in the election before Bernie rose to fame.

All the problems in this thread and country and you pick that?  lol

Longtime members know that these things can linger....it's hard to give up on one's child, is it not? :)

certainly not as bad as the guy who had "get ready for the Carrington treatment" in his sig for years....and I wonder how many even remember that draft pick.  IAnyhow, I will consider it.  We used to hold literal drafts on here on a specific day....I think late August?  I managed to get Shady before anyone, and was(and am) proud of it.  The guy came from a deal made from the Pegula yacht while wine drinking was going on, which makes it one of the coolest trade stories ever. I do appreciate your reminder, probably best to wait until after offseason moves are done if I decide to do it.

Living in Eagles country I was always a big Shady fan, so I hear ya! All the comments in this thread are bs as well including my own, lol. As far as your new adoption what are you looking for? JA immediately comes to mind but not sure if he meets your criteria.

Heck yeah Josh Allen does....but doesn't someone already have him?  Jungle maybe?  I'm trying to remember if people were allowed to keep their AAB more than a season originally or if they had to keep re-drafting...I think the latter.  But eventually people who remembered the tradition which was no longer formally held kept their AAB as long as they wanted, being it was no longer an official event, and just picked whenever they wanted as long as the player was not already taken.  I think enough old time members, as long as more recent fans who like the idea, might be in support if we start doing it again.

I had a campaign to make the Range again, and it can be done without spending any money.  With the aid of Meathead(our version of Yoda), an updated TOS will be released as well, to keep things more orderly, and to make things more constructive.  But AAB draft(as well as a pick 'em league, though NFL.com got rid of theirs last season) are some of the things I intend to get brought back.  I did deliver on getting that headbanging emoji that Daryl loves back with help from Woody, and would like to bring back  the no cost improvements that could Make the Range Great Again!

Majority of Americans would vote against socialist candidate for president, poll finds

Americans are not happy with the prospect of a socialist candidate like Bernie Sanders for president, a new poll finds.

A majority of US residents — 53 percent — said they would vote against a socialist candidate for president, the Gallup poll released Tuesday reveals. Meanwhile, only 45 percent of respondents in the poll said they would vote for a socialist.

In fact, socialism was the only category in the poll rejected by a majority of Americans.

For example, 60 percent of Americans said they would vote for an atheist while 38 percent said they wouldn’t. And more than nine in 10 Americans said they would vote for a presidential candidate nominated by their party who is black, Catholic, Hispanic, Jewish or a woman.

The findings come as Sanders (I-Vt.) — a self-described Democratic socialist — is a top-tier candidate vying to win the Democratic nomination for president. He was leading in polls to win Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary and has surged ahead of Joe Biden in national polls.

There is a political divide over the socialist candidate question, however.

For example, 82 percent of Republicans said they wouldn’t vote for a socialist while just 17 percent said they would. By comparison, 76 percent of Democrats said they would vote for a socialist, while 21 percent wouldn’t.

Significantly, only 45 percent of key swing-state voters — self-described independents — would vote for a socialist while 51 percent said they would not.

While you may see that as good news, only 53% is sad, very sad. As the masses continue to flood both legally and illegally(and later try to get in under some trumped up daca or whatever), and as real Americans die off, that number will very soon be in a minority.  It does not take a prophet to see this.  Additionally, the centralized "education" system is doing it's part, along with the "entertainment" industry, to speed this departure from our roots.

One does not need to be a prophet or anything close to adept at reading the signs to see what is imminent.  There comes a time when a line in the sand must be drawn if you care about the Constitution our founders charged us with defending(something else in my sig under Oathkeepers).

Good grief, 53% is nearly within the margin for error, if you trust polls to begin with.  If they are done with landlines, that skews the results further to represent an older demographic. Sack, I wish you and others would do like that Howard Beale in your sig, or the monologue in Glengarry Glen Ross instructed and got mad.  Otherwise, you'll be the minority even sooner than projected, as the water around the frog is starting to be boiled far less slowly than it has been(I hope most are familiar with the reference).

First, Chris Matthews had a very positive interview with Bernie tonight.

Second, those demographic polls are meaningless. It doesn't matter who the candidate is, all Demographics will show up

They are just setting up their faux impartiality.  If he wins the nomination - we'll see headlines such as, 'Bernie nuances his policies for the mainstream' ; 'Bernie tempers his socialist ideals with solid economic plan'.

Please, conservatives are not stupid enough to fall for this shit.

I don't know.   Mickey Mouse would capture hard core Disney fans; but not necessarily the Marvel fans.   Acquiring Marvel did not result in comics readers flocking to Disney films; so you can't count on Mickey getting the comic fan vote.

And Axl Rose as VP?  Is Indiana even a swing state?  He may not draw the Indiana votes from Pence's ticket presence.   One of the Wilson sisters nay be a better choice.
