“Lamar Was Amazing!”

Recommended Posts

Can’t remember who it was they said it in the shoutbox, but we were all thinking it. That Lamar would be praised for his stats tonight.....and well....here it is lol

what a fucking joke.

A Bills fan could have gone into a coma in 2000, just woke up, and be shocked that he had not missed a thing!!! HAHAHAHA

I nominate this post of the month, maybe more. Seriously, seriously it encapsulates everything of importance in one sentence. An indie film maker could possibly do well with that concept. -StraightJ 10/7/12

Lamar got some nice stats in garbage time when the game was over.

Lamar has played poorly in 2 post season games.

He did play amazing in the regular season and will probably be the NFL MVP, but he has flaws to his game when forced to be a pocket passer and you take away the middle of the field.

  • Thanks 2

Great athlete

Great QB? No!

He was fantastic when the Titans began playing a prevent defense to make the Ravens use some clock

He won't get it, but Henry should win the MVP

So Lamar played poorly in 2 post season games?  I have 2 words for you haters:  Peyton Manning.

Sean, I love Josh Allen  but are you saying he deserves the same MVP consideration Lamar does, or will the schadenfreude from this one loss be enough to help calm your troubled soul through the offseason? (actually this question is more aimed at the haters who are less able to articulate posts than you)

What? Lamar was not good and his stats look way better than he actually played. Just say garbage time.

But I am sorry, even though he played bad, he was not abysmal like Allen. Allen put a new meaning to choking in an important game and making exceptionally bad decisions. And he was still lucky. He threw basically two pick sixes, fumbled badly where he got lucky that it was only marginally after the knee was down and did some other bonehead decisions. Jackson played way better!

Disclaimer: I think Jackson is a function of the great team and the great coach. I think he will come down to earth and I would rather try with Allen. But saying both played on a similar bad level in their latest playoff game is ridiculous.

Fucking disgrace ESPN is. Lamar Jackson lost the game for the Ravens. He looked like dog shit.

If he had thrown a lateral, and lost yardage because of it, he would have been praised for showing plenty of heart and doing anything in his power to win the game.

He had 500 yards, but also accounted for 5 turn overs, yes I count when you are the guy called on to get 1 yard and fail twice.  Not for nothing, Allen would have gotten both of them, but Allen wouldn't have made a couple of those runs, my gawd LJ is awesome onnthe run.

Nobody is saying any of those things. What we are saying is why isn't the media critical of Lamar, like they are with Allen ?

Titans gave a textbook performance on how to beat the Ravens, shut down the running game, and make Jackson beat you.

And don't kid yourself, Jackson may not have thrown a 40 yard pass to his fullback, but he made glaring mistakes.

If you want to expand that logic further toward it's natural conclusion, you may wish to consider why the media isn't as close to as harsh on either of tthem as they were the ultra-demonized Tim Tebow.  The vitriol they spewed at him is usually stuff they save for people who are not athletes.  Even murderous OJ got better treatment from "them", similar to Barabas in the Bible.

John Fox had success with Tebow in Denver once he started playing to his strength's.

Agreed.  The utter "failure" of any other coaches with Tebow is lost on the zombies.

I'm guessing you've read this great expose on how the outcome of his career was far more Krafted than about any player's in NFL history?

This honestly deserves it's own thread, and I'd probably give it one, if I thought enough people(on here) could pull their heads out of the sand long enough to see the light for a moment.  One moment is really all it would take.

I don't believe I've ever said anything negative about Lamar, so maybe those who want to rage should focus on the media instead of Lamar, and actually understand what they are raging about?  Lamar didn't write the narrative and is not the enemy of your best interest in real life.

It wasn't just Lamar their offensive line was trash. Outplayed and outcoached

Most here know that.

In my opinion, QB's get to much credit and to much blame.

I don't think Lamar is trash. In fact, far from it.

When you are the focal point of the offense, everyone else will benefit. And during the year, they did.

Would make for an interesting conversation (thread), providing everyone did their due diligence and didn't just rely on the bought and paid for print media.

Completely agree.  However if they refuse to do that with real life topics, I don't suppose they would care to do so about a sports figure they have already been conditioned to dislike.  It's easier just to repeat what your favorite flavor of the establishment has conditioned one to accept, rather than to challenge your mind with unfamiliar logic.

In this case it's even more disturbing, as Tim Tebow was one of the better examples of humanity to grace the field in recent years, especially compared to a number of degenerates the usual suspect media try to promote for whatever reasons.  That example alone should be enough to reveal the true nature of the media to the uninformed.

Your QB should be able to run the offense, not be the entire offense.
