And 6-10 the year before that.

Yet, they’re in the NFC Championship game this year.

Why do teams like the Bills need 4 years of “building”, yet other teams can go from 4-12 to the NFC Championship game the very next season?

Kyle Shanahan is a better play caller than Brian Daboll.

The 49'ers are loaded with talent and 1st round draft picks on DL.

The 49'ers have a great DC in Saleh.

Jimmy G has 7 years of NFL experience but had a play caller in Kyle Shanahan that protected him by calling a run heavy game.

By comparison Brian Daboll regularly abandoned the running game, and refused to use screen passes and play action passes to help Josh Allen.

Kyle Shanahn is light years ahead of Brian Daboll as a coach and OC.

I hope Daboll learns from his mistakes this year and improves.

Shanahan and OC Curtis Modkins were “bad” last season.

They averaged only 1.5 points more than Daboll did this year.

Good thing they didn’t fire them!

This year, they averaged 29 points per game.

Just shows how stupid it would be to fire Daboll ... or even blame him.

As always you bend the goal posts. Curtis Modkins was OC by name only, Kyle Shanahan is the play caller even if he is the HC.

I would be happy if Daboll was half as good as Shanahan.

The highest ranked scoring offense Daboll has ever coached as an OC was the 20th ranked offense in 2011 with Miami.

Kyle Shanahan coached the 2nd ranked scoring offense this year with San Francisco.

Kyle Shanahan coached the 1st ranked scoring offense in 2016 with Atlanta.

One of these is not like the other.

I mentioned Shanahan.

Perhaps you didn’t see - I’ll post it again.

The 49ers had a bottom 10 offense with Shanahan last season.

As usual blaming assistant coaches and fringe veterans for all that ails the team. Pathetic.

Jimmy G was hurt the entire year last year and they were gifted Bosa as a result. That's why they were 4-12.

Seriously it's like talking to five year olds on this board half the time.

A lot of the pieces were in place, if Jimmy G doesn't get hurt last year they are in the playoffs.

Lmao they were 1-2 when he got hurt...

And Garoppolo was a miserable 5 TD’s, 3 INT’s and 4 Fumbles when he got hurt...

Does anyone think before they post around here?

1-2 extrapolates to a 5-11 record.

So they became 1 game worse after he left.

From 5-11 to 4-12.

Wow - thats a ton!

I guess because one team is based in San Francisco, and the other in Buffalo.

However, playoffs 2 out of 3 years is not bad. And that playoff appearance in year one, put McBeane behind a year.

Why do you do this shit?

Do you honestly believe the Bill's and 49er's are on a level playing field? They aren't ...

In NFL history, the chances of making the playoffs after starting the season 1-2 is under 25%.

So... yeah...

Adding a Blue Chip Deffensive Stud like Bossa can greatly affect a team.  Not to mention they also get a high second round pick that can contribute as well.

This has to be one of your more ridiculous posts ever.  Anybody who knows anything about a schedule knows that a team's opponents and where the game is (home v road) have a lot to do with their record after 3 games and there is no rational way to project a 1-2 record to the rest of the season.  They lost their 1st 2 of 3 games to the Vikings & Chiefs on the road while beating Detroit in game 2 at home.  Now let's say they had 2 home games instead of 1 against a softer opponent than the Chiefs and started the season 2-1.  What would you be saying if someone had posted that 2-1 extrapolates to 11-5 or 10-6?  You'd be calling them a moron or something worse.

Sometimes some people don't think before they post here-you have joined that club with this extrapolation.
