(Puking while typing this) Lamar is a more accurate Allen

Recommended Posts

Oh and he is faster.

and doesn’t fumble every time he is hit.

and is super accurate.

and can throw the ball 60+ yards downfield.

and has a better record.

Ugh.

Bills have a better record.

Ravens are winning by their running game.

Uh, they have the same record...

He is definitely faster.  He is definitely not more accurate.  Lamar is probably better right now but it isn't because of his accuracy.

He is DEFINITELY more accurate.

It’s not even close.

You mean the guy the Bills could have stayed put and drafted at 20.

Lamar Jackson is a great fit in Greg Roman's spread option offense.

Jackson plays behind a better OL than Allen, so Jackson has more clean pockets than Allen does.

Baltimore's OL is opening up huge holes in the running game and exposing New Englands run defenses.

It's hard to defend the pass and rush the passer when you have to worry about defend the QB and RB in the running game.

Yes, Lamar has a better career record.

He is 11-3.

That entire first post was about Lamar.

Are you serious right now?

Why does this matter?

It doesn't matter at all but every single time any QB or team does something better than Allen and the Bills he has to start a thread about it.

Lamar Jackson just missed a wide open Seth Jackson in the Endzone. Jackson had beaten Gilmore in coverage.

It's funny how Lit will never mention Lamar Jackson missing an open WR or Lamar Jackson making a bad throw.

Here's how they compare.  :niterider:

Why is John Brown more productive with Josh Allen throwing him the ball than he was with Lamar Jackson throwing him the ball?

The only thing completion percentage shows is the QB's ability to make pre snap reads, it's not a good indicator of ball placement or "accuracy".

So the more talent you have on the OL, the better they will be at having throwing lanes for the QB to see the field, and the better the WR talent you have the better they will be at getting separation from coverage and have bigger passing  windows for the QB to put the throw through.

Having a reliable WR with great hands means less dropped passes.

Talent on the OL and at WR matters.

And once the young QB reaches his potential the game starts to slow down and he makes the players around him better.

But before he can get there you have to surround him with talent and develop him.

Different QB have different learning curves and development is not linear.

Allen is getting better, he is no where near his potential. But as long as Buffalo is winning game as he is developing, it all good.
