Darnold looks a lot like some say Allen looks...

Recommended Posts

Catching bits of MNF. Darnold is running around (for his life) chucking the ball all over the place... to the Patriots. That is, if he isn't fumbling. Hmm, maybe it's a rookie learning curve after all?

The Patriots D makes young QBs look silly.  Sometimes after seeing a QB play against the Pats D, some fans overreact and think their QB sucks when the reality is the QB has a great future.  Some of the more irrational fans need to understand this.

The Patriots defense goes up against Mayfield next week and then Lamar Jackson.

It should be interesting to see how they do.

It's funny though. No one will say anything negative about Darnold or his accuracy blah blah blah. I see all of these guys missing throws, heaving up terrible passes. Only Allen and trubisky get shit on. And I do think trubisky is a bum. He doesn't have the winner factor that Allen does.

Name a few young QB players that were destroyed by the Pats and then became great?

There you go.  Come to me for all football knowledge.

Lol no to Peyton.

Reading comprehension on this forum is at an all-time low.

This years D is different than other Pats teams, they may be one of if not the best D of all time, so we can't go past this year.  Since the Pats will play all the 2018 1st round QBs as well as Watson & maybe Mahomes let's see if any one of the young QBs doesn't look silly after playing NE.  So far this year's D is making every QB look like crap.

No, it’s not.

It’s not even top 20 all time.

This is all hype because they have faced some AWFUL offenses.

Ya BB is just abusing young QBs, as he's historically done his entire career.

Still, regardless of the opponents, 48 points allowed through 7 games is unreal

The question is - Is Darnold the Sanchize Part Deaux?

I'd venture to say he is.  NYJ is currently not a good environment for developing QBs and he may end up being a product of that.  That dude got NO help last night.  No help on the field or the sidelines.

Sure. Darnold looked like Allen looked against New England.

Who wants to take bets on if Allen will look like Darnold looked against the Cowboys?

No way, he looked worse. At least Allen had a QBR in the double digits (24) where Darnold couldn't even get to an even 4.

Darnold looked way worse against Pats than Allen did.

IDGAF about measuring dicks with Darnold.  Allen has played pretty dang well after the Pats game, and I'm sure a lot of people were worried if he'd be able to do so.  He's still using power runs, not shying away from contact when the yards matter, as some people were concerned he might start to be apprehensive to run the ball due to the concussion.  Last 2 games he's averaging a little over 200 yards, 67% comp pct. 4 TDS 1 INT.  I'll take those numbers with our USUAL defense.

This game showed how important Milano is to our defense.  Lorenzo Alexander was getting abused in the passing game by Fitz and mediocre TEs.  We got Ertz next week.  Hopefully Milano is back from the hamstring.
