Dolphins get ANOTHER first round pick

Recommended Posts

That IS epic. Someone will joke that they will screw it up(as if the Bills never have done that, lol). EDIT: The post before mine did as I was typing this.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this the last time around, but theyre going to have young talent on relatively cheap rookie contracts for quite awhile.

still got to make the picks count.

I can't believe after losing your QB the Steelers would at 0-2 would trade their 2020 1st

They could literally draft an entire offensive line and defensive line consisting of 1st and 2nd rounders.

Unless they love Tua or Herbert, they'd be wise to draft OL/DL in 2020 and give Rosen a full season behind what is hopefully talent at the OL position. If they still suck then you're in place again for a QB in 2021, or still have the tools to go up and get it.

But it's a similar situation to NYG, if Miami does indeed finish 1, you have to go QB there, you'll hopefully never have the top pick ever again

If they follow the playbook of Jimmie Johnson and the Ca'boys in the early 90's it will be a veritable mother-load.

For trading Fitzpatrick.

They now have FIVE 1st round picks and FOUR 2nd round picks in the next 2 drafts.

That is unreal.

Smart move for them. Terrible to be one of the players left behind...essentially wasting a year of your career.

That said, I recall the Browns having 2 first round picks in like 3 out of 4 years and coming away with hot garbage including Johnny Manziel, Brandon Weaton, Trent Richardson...the list goes on. Do they have the right guys in place to turn the pics into good players?

If I were them, I wouldn’t.

I would trade the #1 pick for two more #1’s and a #2 (like the Eagles).

Then you have SIX first rounders and FIVE second rounders.

I would completely build the O-Line and D-Line, and then start on the LB core.

Maybe we’ll get lucky and they’ll pull a Ditka by drafting the next Ricky Williams.

Their tanking is insulting. The league should do something.

If karma decides to look their way they'll screw up most of those picks. Can't wait.

Good for them. But when those five-seven draft picks become all-pros how do the Dolphins expect to sign them all?

Jeesus.. how about worrying which ones to keep and which ones to trade for value IN 5 YEARS. Why would anyone want multiple All-Pros, what a headache.. you are special.

I dont know exactly who is projected to be out on the OL and DL this draft, but unless you are dead sold on Tua, which I'm not (yet), making a trade out to somebody who is and reaping the rewards makes a lot of sense.

If Jeude is as good as everyone seems to Judge him, then maybe you go for him as an elite weapon. Then build the shit out of your OL and let Rosen have a chance to show you what hes got. Lets not forget the kid was a top 10 pick, hes been behind a garbage line and will be again this year.. if he sucks, great, go for your qb next year. They will walk into a good situation, not a hot pile of shit like Allen, Darnold and Rosen did.

But, but they already have Josh Rosen. No need to do that! LOL

LOL. Dolphins had the top pick in 2008 and decided to build the lines first. Worked out really good for them passing on Matt Ryan. Josh Rosen is garbage. Would not try and build a team around that guy.

I’m sure they could go also package some to get some big name studs.

They very well could draft Tua first and then trade back into the top 5 for Jerry Jeudy.

That be two guys to rebuild around.

They have have plenty of money for FA and Plenty more picks to address the lines and the rest of the team.

They could do this and then bottom out again next year and Pick Trevor Lawrence 1st overall.

This years class though is full of playmakers especially at WR and RB.

They also don’t have any of their last 5 picks on the roster and zero talent

Well yeah they are bottomed out that's for sure. It will take a good 2 to 3 more seasons for them to start winning.

I love how you morons are so beholden to draft picks that you don’t even realize every player they trade they need to replace. They just traded a top 15 first rounder for one pick that will be around the same value. They didn’t gain any value. Now they have to use that same pick to replace all the talent they traded away

With a younger guy who will come in and not be jilted by the tank. Who will buy into the plan and the team.

They are not going to be better in one off season but it wont take to many with all the picks they have acquired along with the cap space they have.
