I think I could talk myself into taking Lauletta at 21/22 at this point. I’d for sure prefer him over Rudolph at least.

You would be able to get lauletta in the second. All the quarterback needy teams will take them in the first round.

That allows you to take best player available at 21 and 22

Leave it to the Bills and their fans to think they can outsmart the rest of the league with a quarterback. This is bullshit. The elite qbs are considered elite for a reason.

the same league that made Jake Locker, Ej Manuel, Christian Ponder, Matt Leinart and others 1st round picks? The league isnt as smart as you think.

Kirk Cousins had a good week of Senior Bowl practices, and a decent game, so the Redskins drafted him in the 4th round.

If Lauletta gets drafted in the 2nd round I would be amazed. 3rd round maybe.

Draft a Running Back in the 2nd?  Add another EDGE or Corner?

You’re probably right about where he ends up getting taken. I’m talking about where I’d take him though. I also think the big difference is Cousins was an extremely known quantity before the Senior Bowl; Lauletta was an unknown for a lot of people.

I thought he was in the conversation for most accurate QB in the draft class before this week and he’s now proven to have NFL arm strength. I think he’s just a great pure passer.

During this week of practices, Kyle Lauletta got positive reports for both his accuracy and going through his progressions.

He backed those practices up with a very good game.

But NFL teams look at a player's game film for the last 2 years, add in what they did at the Senior Bowl, sprinkle in a little of the Combine and Pro Day, and make an assessment. So having a great Senior Bowl game helps, but it is just one data point.

I do hope the Bills are ready to draft Kyle if he is available in middle rounds even if we have drafted a QB in the 1st round. The whole RGIII and Kirk Cousins scenario.

I think he'll go low 2nd.

Would you be surprised if the Patriots picked him up at the end of round 2?

Rumor has it that the Patriots are going to try for WSU QB Luke Falk or Western Kentucky QB Mike White in 3rd or 4th round. Since the Pats rarely overdraft players, Bills should look at these guys if our first round is a disaster for getting a franchise QB. I like Luke Falk. He seems to read the defenses well and has above average accuracy. It would be nice to take a second QB before the Pats take one that they are eye ball'in as a potential pick.

success rate on 1st rnd qbs as starters is still well below 50%. even at the very top of the draft its only 50%

Yep. Good facts to remember. Given the choice, I'd take Mayfield over Rosen and Darnold because I think he's more likely a sure thing. Lit's boy Josh Allen ended up looking pretty good yesterday.

White looked good to I thought

His lack of arm strength will be exposed in the NFL like Peterman was. DBs in the NFL are just to fast for ball that don't get to their targets in a hurry.
