It's always a pain driving on the strip, but they decided the minimal walking distance from all the resorts would be a big selling point. I thought it would be good to place it down by the speedway just outside of the city, but that would have been a long distance from UNLV and part of the deal was to have the Rebels play there.

I have yet to meet anyone here in Vegas who believed this stadium was a good idea. The only time I'll go is when the Bills play here. What sucks even more is that UNLV has to pay rent to play there. Our politicians wanted an NFL team so badly that they screwed us.

File this under duh. Of course it's an issue, but the only way for Allen to get experience is to play and since we named him the starter last year we cannot go backwards. Hopefully a better line and more offensive weapons will help him this year.

Honestly, I don't think they wanted to bring in a guy who might create a QB controversy down the line. Just my 2 cents.

I've got a Freddy J. that I wear proudly, but I am avoiding new jerseys for a while. I may go for a Kyle Williams. If Allen proves he's the guy then he will be next.

What impressed me on that throw was where he put it. He didn't wait for the receiver to get to the spot; he anticpated where the receiver would go and threw it there.

I think we'll see the kickoff disappear.

Here's the thing on Allen, though. We didn't break the bank for him in terms of our futrue draft choices like Watkins. He is on the rookie wage scale so we aren't paying ridiculous contract. If he is a bust, it won't kill us like it did in the past. We will be set back, yes, but if they build a strong team then a journeyman could hold us over like Tyrod did.

He could end up like Gannon. It just took some time for him to reach his potential (the dreaded word for QBs). IDK.

If they truly believe the guy they have targeted is a franchise qb, then yes.

Lit is actually correct on this about BB and the Browns. He was screwed by Modell that season and the team just stopped playing. True football historians share the same information that Lit did above. Had the Browns not moved, I'm guessing he would have created a consistently winning team in Cleveland. However, I don't know if we would have won as many Superbowls without Brady, IMO.
