  1. I really like this kid! Would LOVE to have him on the Bills. Lot's of raw talent to be developed.
  2. Thanks Hip! I guess I jumped to a conclusion, based on all the talk around here lately.
  3. What the HELL is going on here? Every thread (except this one) is leading me to gateway errors. Is the Range shutting down?
  4. Super Bowl Years? :-) I came on during the Jauron years, and the board wasn't pristine back then, and it certainly wasn't without problems and arguments, but it had a lot more character (and characters). Some were villains. Some were funny. Some were t-rolls but overall, I remember it being a lot more fun and entertaining. The Rick thing was sad.
  5. I meant that it's cool to see him having to eat crow. I probably should have clarified that.
  6. I don't know that he should leave, or if he's fully at fault for the decline of this board, but the fact remains that this place is a far cry from what it was a few years ago. It's really not as enjoyable as it once was. These days, it seems like the overwhelming theme is negativity for negativity's sake. It's sad, really. I used to love being here. Now it's more of a habit to just check in, but now I rarely engage.
  7. Yup! I've been pleased with his progress. Never expected him to be Jerry Rice in year 2, but I do believe he can and will be a solid #1 in a year or two.
  8. I'm not sure, but doesn't this probably have something to do with potential comp picks? I'd have to look it up, but my (admittedly vague) understanding is that cutting him would mean no comp pick, whereas keeping him might result in a comp pick somehow. Now... whether or not a comp pick is worth it is debatable, but I'm guessing that the thinking is that a potential "something" is better than a definite nothing since at this point no one would give the Bills crap for KB. I could be completely wrong, though.
  9. That was almost exactly what I was gonna say. The "hack" part refers to the tone and writing etc... Anyone of us can write the way he does, and condescend to readers etc... I mean.. we rangers are all a bunch of hacks for the most part (myself included), but we are not journalists. You can cover bad teams and address weaknesses and faults without being rude and coming off as a jilted fan. Sully seems incapable of doing that. He is ultimately negative and a poor read. Brings no nuance or insight to his coverage.
  10. Posted this to my Backers group, and thought it could help others here as well. We're all in this together, friends. GROUP NOTICE: The Charlottesville Buffalo Bills Backers has now transitioned from "Fan Club" to "Support Group" for the remainder of the season. Group steps listed below. 1. We admitted we were powerless over the Bills — that our lives had become unmanageable. 2. Came to believe that a power greater than wings and weck can restore us to sanity. 3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the Food Network on Sundays. 4. Made a searching and fearless inventory of our Bills gear and then burned it all. 5. Admitted to the Football god(s), to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of just how we became Bills fans, where we were during “The Comeback”, and where we stood on the Flutie vs. Johnson debate, and promptly scoffed anyone who disagreed with us. 6. Were entirely ready to have the Football god(s) remove a vital organ if only He/She/They would deem this team worthy of sustained relevancy for at least 10 years... ok... 30. Screw it... most if us would accept a win IN Foxboro this December. 7. Humbly asked Him/Her/Them to remove WGR550 Radio listening app from our phones. and begged Him/Her/Them to simply remove Shchopp, Bulldog and Jerry Sullivan from this planet! 8. Made a list of all folding tables we had harmed, and became willing to mend them all. 9. Made direct amends to such tables wherever possible, except when to do so would tempt us to smash them again, or engage in other questionable parking lot activity. 10. Continued to take personal inventory to find that one pair of Bills socks we got in your Christmas stocking when we were 8 years old, and added them to the burn pile. 11. Sought through prayer and meditation to try to enjoy watching other teams play football without constantly blurting out “Why the F%#@ can’t the Bills JUST do THAT?!?!” 12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to other Bills fans, to save them from the same pain and suffering that we have all endured for too damn long! #GOBILLS #BILLSMAFIA
  11. Offer under consideration - According to Josina Anderson's twitter account, Thoughts?
  12. Agreed. I've thought this from the beginning, and I've always considered last year's playoff appearance as a nice surprise which wouldn't change or reset the expectations for the next couple of years. When you consider the cap situation for the next 3 seasons, that is when this "building" (I'm not using the "R" word) should really yield results. I think that you need to give the GM and coach the opportunity to see it through. As far as thee multi-year outlook is concerned: I have no problem with building the Defense first. I like the approach of solidifying one side of the ball first, then having the freedom to focus on the other side as you draft, trade, or pick up free agents. Sure.. right now it sucks, but I never expected a true building process to be painless. Looking ahead to the next few seasons and their respective caps, I see a lot of money going to the offense, while they maintain and add to the defense.
  13. Cool! I'm usually at the tailgate party representing the radio station that I work for. Parking Lot: NORTH D on Alderman Road. Radio Station is 97.5 3WV. Look forward to connecting next time you're in town. Definitely feel free to reach out to me.
  14. Very Cool! Did you go yo UVA? The town's a buzz these days. Are you in Richmond? or Fredericksburg? If you're ever coming into town during a Bills game, send me a message via our group's e-mail addy, to give me a head's up. Would love to meet other fellow "Rangers". cvillebillsbackers@gmail.com (Patrick)
  15. I'm as disappointed as anyone, when it comes to wins and losses this year. However, I'm not up for another scorched earth/throw the baby out with the bath water, type of regime change. I think we have to give the regime at least 3-5 years to not just turn the ship around, but to be able to set them up to be competitive for the long haul.
